Orecchiette is a kind of homemade pasta typical of Puglia. The name comes from their peculiar shape as they are reminiscent of small ears.

La Tua Pasta Orecchiette are made only with premium Italian durum wheat flour and are suitable for vegans*.

Because they are fresh, they cook in less than 5 minutes! This authentic Southern-style pasta shape is traditionally served with a variety of vegetable or meat sauces, or simple tomato-based sauces sprinkled with Parmigiano Reggiano.

  • Dusted with rice flour.

Storage Instruction

  • Keep refrigerated below 5C.
  • Once opened consume within 3 days.
  • Suitable for Freezing. Freeze on day of purchase and consume within 1 month, cook from frozen.

Cooking Instructions

  1. Bring 2 litres of water and a pinch of salt to a boil in a large pot. (You will need 2 litres for every 250g of pasta).
  2. Add the pasta and cook for 4-5 minutes for fresh pasta, or 5-6 minutes for frozen pasta.
  3. Drain and serve with parmesan and olive oil, or with your favourite sauce.
