Say “Seasons Greetings” to ‘Modenesi Tortellini’ our special edition pasta for the holidays. Beautifully encapsulating the rich flavours of Italian Mortadella, Italian grated cheese and Parma ham, this traditional Italian-filled pasta is a special treat for any holiday supper.
Like all our fresh pasta, our artisan pasta dough has a very high free-range egg percentage (30%), and we use a special blend of 00 and durum wheat flour to hold its consistency and is finished with a hand-folded technique. The filling is made following a recipe claimed by both the Modena and Bologna territories. While the dispute of its origin continues, we don’t dispute how delicious it tastes!
The Tortellini shape is said to be inspired by Venus’ navel …and by strict Italian tradition, seven Tortellini are meant to fit onto one spoon – but at La Tua Pasta we always like to have plenty of our fresh filling inside – so our Tortellini Modenesi are considered extra large!
This pasta can be served with sage butter, a cream sauce, or a broth.
