Over the years we have launched several initiatives to help protect and restore the environment, the most significant of which has been our switch to recyclable packaging.
Back in 2015 our waste management process won us a ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’ award from ACM Environmental. But we didn’t stop there, since then we’ve continued to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging while maintaining the high level of food safety for your pasta. Here are some of the highlights:
Most of our pasta packaging now uses recycled plastic that is similar to milk cartons, we chose it because it’s accepted for recycling by 95% of local councils.
The polystyrene insulation (for the boxes we ship outside of London) is gradually being replaced by wool and marine-safe plastic.
The frozen gel packs (for orders outside of London) are being replaced by reusable packs.
We are replacing all bubble wrap with shredded cardboard.
