About Us

We pride ourselves on being an authentic “Pastificio” (artisan pasta maker) and specialise in making fresh pasta in the vein of Italian tradition.

PASTA FRESCA AUTENTICA!

Our Story and Our Team

Since 2006, we have been producing delicious fresh pasta for customers at our market stalls as well as prestigious hotels, restaurants and caterers in the UK and abroad.

Over the years our company has grown but one thing has stayed the same; our commitment to making the very best handmade fresh pasta available.

About us

La Tua Pasta was founded in 2006 by Francesco Boggian and his wife Caroline. Francesco decided to bring a piece of Italy to the UK by making truly authentic Italian pasta.

He wanted the pasta to be so well-crafted, and so fresh, that chefs would be proud to serve it as their own hand-made pasta.

Moreover, he wanted to create a friendly business environment where the team could flourish. The belief is that a happy and dedicated team gives you great customer service as well as delicious pasta. With these founding principles, and a small team of pasta makers, they developed over 300 types of fresh and filled pasta! Sometimes even calling family and friends back in Italy to get old recipes and new ideas.

La Tua first sold pasta at farmer’s markets, including the famous Borough Market, and soon became the pasta makers of choice for many of the top restaurants and hotels in London and beyond.

In 2018 Francesco, Caroline and their family moved back to Italy and, after falling in love with La Tua Pasta at Borough Market, Nicolas and Patricia Hanson took over.

Today, together with the original team, Nicolas and Patricia continue to put the integrity of the product, the honesty of the ingredients, and the shared values of the team at the very heart of everything they create.

Our Commitment To The Environment

We act today to protect tomorrow’s world. Over the last few years we have launched several environmental initiatives including new packaging from recycled materials. For this we won a ‘zero waste to landfill’ award in 2015.

La Tua Pasta About us

Over the years we have launched several initiatives to help protect and restore the environment, the most significant of which has been our switch to recyclable packaging.

Back in 2015 our waste management process won us a ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’ award from ACM Environmental. But we didn’t stop there, since then we’ve continued to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging while maintaining the high level of food safety for your pasta.

For instance, most of our pasta packaging now uses recycled plastic that is similar to milk cartons, we chose it specifically because it’s accepted for recycling by 95% of local councils.

La Tua Pasta About us

The polystyrene insulation (for the boxes we ship outside of London) is gradually being replaced by wool and marine-safe plastic.

The frozen gel packs (for orders outside of London) are being replaced by reusable eco-friendly ice packs.

We are replacing all bubble wrap with shredded and recycled cardboard.

Supporting Our Local Community

La Tua Pasta is proud to play an active role in the local community. We donate surplus food to local charities and during the Covid-19 pandemic we provided thousands of free meals to NHS staff.

La Tua Pasta About us

At La Tua Pasta we’re proud to make a positive contribution to our local community.

Working in partnership with The Felix Project and The Capitanio Sisters we make sure that none of our fresh, nutritious food goes to waste. Instead it is donated to local charities and schools.

During the Covid-19 pandemic we proudly donated more than 6000 meals to support NHS frontline health workers. Our pasta was cooked up for hospital staff by caterers and charities including The Conduit, Rocket Food, Smart Hospitality, Moving Venue, and Help Them Help Us.

Finally, in recent years we have launched a Christmas fund to support the work of The Capitanio Sisters Charity and The Homeless Fund. The latter helped to establish London’s first 24-hour drop-in women’s centre at the Marylebone Project, to ensure all homeless women have a safe space to turn to.

Easy To Prepare

Our pasta is freshly made, very versatile, and it cooks in only 3-4 minutes. We advise perhaps adding a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of cheese for an extra burst of flavour. However, it can also be paired with your favourite vegetables, sauces, and toppings for a five star feast!
